When you were a child and had the flu were you served chicken soup? Did you ever wonder why it was understood without an explanation that chicken soup was good for your body when you were sick?
When I had children, I carried on this tradition. Now every time they are sick I make a bone broth from an Organic Free-Range Chicken and make a soup with the broth. When I looked into the back story of bone broth, I found that man has been eating broth from animal's bones since fire was discovered because of the abundance of nutrients and benefits.
Commercial Bug Repellant is so incredibly toxic with dangerous chemicals such as DEET. As an Earthie Mama I want to make sure that my children only have the most natural ingredients on their skin. While living in Costa Rica, I had to figure out how to protect my family from the overwhelming amounts of bugs. During the day I would put on the Bug Repellant Sunscreen which I developed specifically for the hot sun and the abundance of bugs. I found it would protect us for 4 plus hours. However, after a day in the sun, in and out of the ocean and a shower to clean it all off, we needed something for the evenings, to protect us from biting bugs while we were sleeping.
Many of the commercial sunscreens contain toxic ingredients that actually raise the risk of skin cancer. However, natural sunscreen can get very pricey especially if you are like me with a family of 5! So I formulated a sunscreen that I make at home and is non toxic and all natural. While you are blocking the harmful rays of the sun, your skin is getting nourished with all of the wonderful natural ingredients. Your skin will look and feel better than before you started using it. I do believe that letting Vitamin D in is very important to our overall physical and mental well-being. So, when you know you are going in the sun for a long time lather this yummy all natural sunscreen all over your body! Also, you can add essential oils to this recipe that will protect against insects. I have posted them below! Remember to lather after spending time in water! I do not have a way to test the SPF but it is around 24-30.

There are heavy metals in the air we breathe, the water that comes out of our faucets and much food that we eat. Heavy metals such as mercury, flouride, aluminum and many more are highly toxic for our bodies. The toxicity results in all kinds of issues such as heart problems, neurological issues, memory loss, depression, anxiety, weight gain and a calcification of our pineal gland or our third eye. Here is a recipe for a juice that will help rid your body of these harmful toxins.
Directions: Juice the apples, carrots, cilantro and garlic. Add the algae, zeolite, squeeze of lemon and a spoon of raw honey and mix together or blend. Enjoy!
